EDITORIALE
Nel nord della Germania, a Colonia si tiene dal 21 al 25 ottobre
la più importante manifestazione europea dedicata all’arredamento
d’ufficio e al contract.
Posizione strategica quella di Colonia città baricentrica rispetto a
quei paesi europei che hanno maggiore voce in capitolo nella produzione
di qualità dei mobili per ufficio.
Sarà un’ottima occasione per misurare la temperatura di questo settore
che ormai da sei anni soffre non solo per l’arcinota crisi economica, ma
anche per le spinte indotte da un contesto lavorativo sempre più
digitalizzato e con forti richieste di flessibilità.
Mentre è ragionevole ipotizzare una temperatura abbastanza bassa a
Colonia, siamo a fine ottobre e nel nord-ovest della Germania, per
quanto riguarda il settore, specialmente il nostro, la temperatura
potrebbe salire e questo per molti motivi.
Fra questi, forse il più importante, la forte presenza delle nostre
aziende, ben sessantadue, che costituiscono il 18% della rappresentanza
estera ad Orgatec ed oltre il 12% di tutte le aziende presenti.
Altro elemento significativo è nell’eterogeneità delle stesse, sia per
dimensione che per “core business”, a testimonianza che la sfida verso
l’internazionalizzazione viene oggi raccolta da un più ampio tessuto
produttivo italiano di questo settore.
Inoltre fa piacere registrare un certo numero di new entry all’evento
tedesco a sottolineare la sempre più diffusa presa di coscienza che è
nello sviluppo dell’export che si possono far quadrare i bilanci e crescere
nell’innovazione di prodotto.
E coi tempi che corrono non è poca cosa!
In “bocca al lupo” di tanti buoni affari alla task force italiana a Colonia
che con la propria composita presenza rappresenterà l’inventiva, il
design, la produzione di una nazione che non è fatta solo di…
santi, poeti, navigatori.

The charge of the sixty-two
The most important European event on office furnishings
and contract takes place in northern Germany, at
Cologne, from 21 to 25 October.
The city has a strategic, central position with respect to
the European countries with the greatest say in the
production of high-quality office furnishings.
This will be an excellent opportunity to gauge the
temperature in this sector that has struggled for six
years not only due to the constantly discussed economic
crisis, but also as a result of the pressures caused by an
increasingly digital working context with forceful
demands for flexibility.
While it is reasonable to expect relatively low
temperatures in Cologne – it’s the end of October, after
all, in the northwest of Germany – where the sector is
concerned, the thermometer could very well rise,
especially in our segment, for a range of valid reasons.
Perhaps the most important reason is the strong
presence of our companies, 62 of them in all,
representing 18% of the foreign participants at Orgatec,
and over 12% of the exhibiting companies as a whole.
Another significant factor is their heterogeneity, in terms
of size and of core business, proving that the
internationalization challenge is being addressed today
by a wider range of Italian manufacturers in this sector.
Furthermore, we are pleased to report a certain number
of new entries in the German event, underlining the
increasingly widespread awareness that development of
exports can help to balance the books and to encourage
product innovation.
This is no small thing, given the present situation!
So we extend a hearty “break a leg!” to the Italian task
force in Cologne, in the hope that with their composite
presence they can represent the inventive verve, design
and production of a nation that is not made up only of
the proverbial “saints, poets and navigators.”
